Meaning Today Purnama and Tilem

Purnama and Tilem is a holy day for Hindus, celebrated to invoke the blessing and bounty of Hyang Widhi. Purnama, as the name suggests, the full moon falls every evening (Sukla Forced). While Tilem day is celebrated every evening during the month of death (Forced Krsna). Both of these holy days are celebrated every 30 or 29 days.

On the day of the Hindu worships Purnama Chandra Sang Hyang. On the feast Tilem Hindus revere Sang Hyang Sun. Today Tilem is a Prabhawa of Sang Hyang Rudra as the embodiment of Sang Hyang Yamadipati (Deva death) that has the power pralina (Pamuliha maring sangkan Paran).

Conditions inwardly and outwardly clean is very important because in a clean soul will emerge thoughts, words and deeds are clean anyway. Cleanliness is also very important in achieving happiness, especially in relation to the worship of Hyang Widhi.
